At Dewey Station Wines, we live by the mantra: “Good humour, good times & serious wines.”
Dewey Station Wines is a boutique winery founded by husband-and-wife team Stefan and Ellie Dewey. Their mission is simple: to showcase the best of the Barossa Valley, with a minimalistic winemaking approach, while focusing on vineyard expression and fruit purity.
The winery’s name honours family heritage, paying tribute to generations of the Dewey and Innocent families, who worked across England’s railway networks. Stefan’s grandfather and great-grandfather were both station masters, fuelling a lifelong passion for trains that now lives on in the brand.
The Shaky Train Series reflects Stefan and Ellie’s dynamic approach to winemaking, featuring vibrant labels designed by Eleanor’s uncle. In contrast, the Glow Up Series offers a sophisticated aesthetic with gold foiling and premium materials—appealing to a refined market while maintaining the same exceptional wines.
Stefan’s fascination with terroir stems from mentorship under Stuart Bourne, whose geology lessons deepened his appreciation for Barossa’s diverse soils. From sandy loams to ironstone-rich clays, these elements shape the wines’ unique character.
