Tenuta Santa Maria di Gaetano Bertani is a private estate owned by the Bertani family. We have a rich winemaking tradition in Veneto, dating back many generations. 

Our winery produces nine premium wines, all grown on our estate vineyards located in three different valleys. These vineyards cover the most important DOCs and DOCGs, showcasing the diverse terroirs of the region.

Our wines are renowned for their sophisticated and timeless Veronese character, while also embracing a modern and distinctive approach to winemaking that sets them apart from the more commercially produced Verona wines. These qualities make our wines truly boutique. We are dedicated to sustainable practices and are committed to showcasing the distinct identity of the Verona Wine region by utilizing native grape varieties and combining traditional winemaking techniques with the latest advancements in low-intervention methods.

Our Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella wines production is based in Arbizzano di Negrar, where our historic winery from the 1700s is located. We also have a second winery in Colognola ai Colli, dedicated to producing our Torre Pieve Chardonnay, Decima Aurea Merlot, Pragal Rosso Verona, and Soave Lepiga single vineyard wines.

We primarily cater to the Horeca market and export around 75% of our production to Europe, North America, and Asia. We are independent vinegrowers associated with FIVI, and our wines are sustainably certified by SQNPI.

We strongly believe that the foundation of winemaking lies in being first of all quality vinegrowers. It is through our work in the vineyards that great wines are born.
