Barossan brothers John and James Lienert have transformed the family farm on Barossa’s western edge into a viticultural wonderland. Sustaining the wellbeing of their land through regenerative agriculture, leaders in promoting diversity of clonal expression across Barossa’s heritage varieties, and not frightened to have a crack at the likes of Malbec, Roussanne and Piqpoul. Emblematic of all that is good and exciting about Australia’s best known wine region. The role of maker has fallen to James, as has grower to John. A symbiotic coupling of siblings sharing a simple approach to growing grapes and making wine that yields a bloody good drink!
Chris “Hatch” Hatcher is one of Australia’s most awarded winemakers, receiving multiple international accolades in his role as Chief Winemaker of Wolf Blass wines.
