The life of this company is a glimpse of the struggle to exist among the hills of Langa, it is the story of Giovanni Lodali, a farmer, son of farmers, who began to make wine for the customers of his restaurant in Treiso, in 1939, the only one in the then small village. After the war Giovanni built a house and a large cellar, these are the years that created roots and hopes for the Lodali family, linked to Treiso. In 1955 his son Lorenzo graduated from the oenology school in Alba. In 1958 Lorenzo, supported by his wife Rita, produced the first crus: Barbaresco and Barolo, business was good and the wines were also sold abroad. In 1982 Lorenzo died. Rita with her newborn Walter, found the courage to continue, determined to carry on the project focusing on quality and typicality. Walter, who graduated in 1998 from the Alba oenological school, a young heir but already involved in wine, brings new life: he takes care of and enhances the terroir of the Bricco Ambrogio and Rocche dei Sette Fratelli vineyards; he renews the cellar equipment, perfects the production and winemaking techniques. In 2005 the Lorens reserves, Lorenzo in Piedmontese, Barolo and Barbaresco, produced with selected grapes from the best years from the Bricco Ambrogio and Rocche dei Sette Fratelli vineyards, leave the cellar.
Giovanni, Lorenzo, Walter: three generations with their hearts and roots in Langa.
