The Romans planted the first vineyards around their villas in Romanesca, on the Roman road linking the North Sea & Lugdunum (now, the city of Lyon). Over the centuries, the culture of vitis vinifera did not stop in Romanesca (Romanèche-Thorins). Following in the Roman steps, the parents of Oliver and Antoine Chastel named their Domaine « Romanesca » 40 years ago. Today, Antoine, Olivier et Lucrèce are opening a new chapter of this ancient tradition guided by dreams of tradition & modernity.

Domaine Jonathan Pey:  Celebrated vintner Jonathan Pey has worked over 25 harvests in California's famed Napa Valley and now owns and farms several estate-grown sites in Morgon and Fleurie. The only Californian vigneron brave enough to farm in Morgon "Bellevue", his vineyards were planted in 1953 and are organically-farmed at over 400 and 470 meters altitude on deep pink granite soil. These are balanced wines that reflect this unique terroir, and his new release is velvety, complex and amazingly nervy.
